e-Filing in Travis County District and County Courts

By now you may have heard that the Travis County District and County Courts are implementing eFileTexas, the new eFile system for civil court documents.

How will this affect you? After January 1, 2014, filings are to be submitted electronically so you will need to be able to upload searchable .PDF files to one of several electronic filing service providers (EFSPs) including the eFile.TXCourts.gov service. They will forward your documents to the District or County Clerk’s office.

Each website allows you to select "Service - Constable" as the method of delivery. But be sure to look for an additional box labeled “Special Instructions” or “Filing Comments” and type in: Please use Constable Pct. 5 for service. This will ensure that we receive your paper and you will have our 24/7 on-line Service Check and instant email notification service* available for your case.

Help for Navigating the e-Filing Process

If you use one of the commercial EFSPs to file with the Travis County courts, we have help documents that will provide an overview of the filing process and selecting Constable 5 for service, just email us at efile-help@constable5.com and specify which service you use. We'll send you a .PDF guide by return email.
