JP5 Class C Warrants

Representatives of law enforcement agencies and courts from more than 250 jurisdictions across Texas launched the fourth annual Great Texas Warrant Roundup on Saturday, March 6, 2010. If you have an outstanding warrant, you are urged to contact the appropriate jurisdiction or jurisdictions to dispose of your case(s) voluntarily. Avoid the inconvenience and embarrassment of arrest at home or work in front of family, friends or co-workers.

The Class C Warrants team helps citizens clear their misdemeanor and ticket records to avoid being arrested by law enforcement officers. Currently your Driver's License can be suspended until you take care of these legal obligations

Our warrant deputies and support staff are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to receive your payments for fines and fees assessed by the Travis County JP5 court.

There's no waiting in line to pay - Precinct Five accepts cash or money orders and provides an immediate receipt for proof of payment. We also accept credit cards (there is an additional 3% convenience fee charged by the credit card companies).

For cash payments in the Austin area, you can make arrangements for one of our officers to meet you and give you a receipt on the spot. Call our office at 854-5557 to schedule a time that is convenient for you. (Officers wear business casual attire and do not drive marked vehicles.)

A no-contest plea form is also available in Adobe .PDF format on our web site.

If you live out of state and have made prior arrangements with us, you may make payments by mail with the following:

1) A signed and dated letter that states
"I plead NO CONTEST/GUILTY and waive my right to a Trial Before the Court/Jury Trial for the following charges."

2) A listing of the case number(s), date(s), and charge(s).

3) Your full name, address, and phone number.

4) A money order made payable to "Bruce Elfant" or "Travis County Constable, Precinct 5"

Send the letter and payment to:
