Our officers are highly skilled and specially trained to handle the difficult and complex issues that frequently arise with family law cases.
Due to the urgency of most cases, attempts are made immediately or within 24 hours. The CN5 protection team covers all of Travis County and surrounding counties within 10 miles of the county line.
Returns are faxed and returned back to the requestor within 48 hours of delivery.
Deputies also have Mobile Data Centers in their vehicles, allowing them to provide instant email notification for law enforcement, the County Attorney's office, and victim's attorneys whenever Protective Orders are served. Precinct Five developed the Protective Order Alert System (POAS) that will better enable victims to make critical decisions regarding their safety and well being.
